Vacation Part 1: Aunt Kaysie's visit

Mat, Cam and I had our first family visitor out in Kentucky! Mat's little sister Kaysie came to visit us the last week of June. Cam and I had a fun time getting everything ready for her to come:

We cleaned the house...
Watered the lawn...
Brushed our hair...
Twice...
And tested some new recipes.
Camden was a very good taste tester.
He was very thorough.
Cam got a little tired from time to time waiting for Kaysie to actually arrive.
When she finally got here, he showed her how to properly play with his toys.
And he showed her how to find the best sesame street videos on her phone...should she need them in class.
We also had play dates while she was here, to introduce her to Cam's friends,
And we went to the park a few times to teach her how to swing.
Cam even busted out his tie for one day of the occasion (he really wanted to show off for his Aunt Kaysie).
Our favorite activity, however, was by far waking up early one morning and going to WAFFLE HOUSE. For those of you who don't know what a waffle house really is, imagine a gas station bathroom...that sells waffles. You see, this is all I knew of waffle house, thanks to comedian Jim Gaffigan.  I had to find out for myself if it was really true.

(I made Mat take this picture below hiding behind me to see if we could give any of you west coasties a good idea of what a waffle house is like.  That's right, I only needed ONE picture to get the whole restaurant in.  Literally. What you see is everything.  We were sitting in the corner, one of 10 tables.
Cam enjoyed him self though.
I pity the people that clean up after us in restaurants...
All in all it was a fun way to start our vacations.  We love Aunt Kaysie!

Your Waffle House looks at least 20 years newer than ours. Ours is brown & orange, you feel like you just walked back in time.
